Bubble Ninja Art
Hi, I'm Natalie Inés Nelson. Being mixed race, I was always asked what background. My mother is an Ecuadorian immigrant, a veteran, and a ESL teacher. My father, a black, Sci-Fi enthusiast, jazz thriving, brilliant poetry writer, and attorney. A creative older brother who can cook.
When I was younger, I developed Epilepsy, and I developed depression and anxiety because of it. I found a passion for the visual arts and working with it in different ways daily. I have always been an image-maker, and image taker; inspired to imprint the moment.
After high school, I went to Montgomery County Community College first majoring in Graphic Design in hopes I being an album cover designer. I aspired to learn more about photography, due to the photography aspect in album covers. I transferred to Moore College of Art and Design under the W.W. Smith Scholarship.
While studying at Moore College, I has expanded my interests; within textile design, projection arts, light graffiti, and different installations juxtaposing all these views together. Even with my one voice, I love being able to make images that shape and amplify my thoughts.
I am now a graduate Moore College of Art and Design, majoring in Photography and Digital Arts and minoring in Textiles since May 2019. After I graduated, I became quite sick it hindered my success after graduation. I even had to stop being a custom framer. However, I've slowly been able to get back on my feet.
I've worked as an art mentor. Teaching and assisting art to children of different age groups and experiences. I try to encourage them to look within to find answers for themselves. Kids are smart, sometimes doubt confuses them.
Ultimately, I'm a curly topped multidisciplinary artist. I like being goofy, working with others and collaborating. Life hasn't given me the best hand, but I know how to work with what I have. I am currently working on a few different projects. Three large scale paintings, and I'm also digitizing photographs of my family.
